I belong to gun, knife, and flashlight forums and I’m not looking to go down the rabbit hole on watches. I just wondered if anyone here was familiar with the Bertucci DX3 or DX3 Plus field watch. I had started looking at their titanium line but I actually prefer the simplicity and contrast on the face on these less expensive polycarbonate resin models. It helps that the price is in line with the kinds of knives I typically carry.
Do these keep good time? Are they reasonably durable? Will they hold up for EDC? Will they hold up if taken on the occasional swim? I’d love to hear your experiences if you have any.
Here is a straight forward review. Keep in mind the case size is on the small size and the crown is not a screw down. There are better watches on the market at this price point. Good luck in your quest.
You may want to consider … Citizen Eco Drive … great watch for the price.
I have had a Bertucci watch that looks like this one, it’s titanium metal and color. I got it from REI Outlet for around $50. My crown screws down tight and I have replaced the batteries in it several times by my self. I need to get a new seal for it most likely but so far it’s been a great watch . I have several Zulu straps for it.
The only thing that pissed me off about Bertucci was that they said they were going to bring our a chrono, waited year after year and missed out on some great chronos from the 2010s. Not the watch’s fault.
