Btw, Mr Chen which is the boss of LoneWolf that designed these lights just registered an blf account, he told that he was not able to post. How to solve this issue. Mr Chen has designed lights for years, he will he can communicate with light holics here.

Maybe you can answer the questions here: For the PTR30, how are the modes? And is the emitter a 3V or 6V one? Is there a standard 17/20/22mm driver inside or something special?

Convince me to buy MC9 instead of for example Comnvoy M21F. Your only option is 6500K emitter which I’m definitely not buying.

LoneWolf’s own factory is located in Hunan, and it is a new brand, personally i think its quality is very very nice. Maybe some reviews will be released soon.
Mr Chen is a flashlight holic, he is also running anouther matel CNC business. He is interested in flashlights and designed several nice ones since 2019, the main features are the robust body and excellent heat dissipation.
You guys can have a try if interested, if lights not ok, welcome criticism.

Nice to know there is now a correct email adress (the one at the bottom of the page is still @example.com). Sorry for pointing that out, but things like that always look a bit like scam. Sad, but these days one has to be very careful with things like that.
Mr Chen is a CNC engineer, he doesn’t know website tools as well as English. I informed him not to release the site before everything is well. And it seems that the guy building this site hasn’t completed all the work. So sad about this issue. I am also a flashlight holic in China. But I am not working for LoneWolf. 10 years ago, i worked in 2 flashlight companies located in Shenzhen thus i am a little familiar with the lights trend.
Mr Chen is revising the site, plz be a little more patient.
I have to say LoneWolf is a new brand, in last 2 years, they only sold in China. It is not a scam, the flashlights are nice. Thanks a lot!

You all are jumping into a very crowded space…a lot of other brands are in the mix and they’re very good like Sofirn, Wurkkos, Acebeam, Speras, Olight. The light has to offer something the others don’t. Performance is important. If it really does do 3200 lm for sustained output that’s pretty awesome. You’d need to offer sifferent LEDs to really make it special. I hope you and Mr Chen do well!

In the market, there is no need for one more Fenix, Oligit, Acebeam, Nextorch etc.
In 2012 to 2014, i am working in this industry, in fact that, there is no too much progess in this industry. Maybe Wuben’s product is a innovation.
Mr Chen would like to design light, i told him that no need to design the tradition ones. There is no room for a new traditional brand. I knew several brands ceased operation in last 10 years. Thus Mr Chen choose to focus on the long-standing high brightness cuz the heat dissipation is nice. He thought that flashlights should be a reliable tool, when you use outside in the night, it should not dim very soon(For most, the highest lumen can only last for less than 60 seconds). Maybe this is the biggest advantage of LoneWolf. As Mr Chen owns a CNC factory, the body is more robust than most on the market. So guys, plz be a little more patient for this new brand. Hope it can go well in the coming years.

Generally speaking, which CCT is best compromise between the raw output a 6500K and a good (not perfect CRI)? Is it 5000K, 5500K or 5700K?

I prefer 5000K and lower. There are some exceptions like 5600K osram from KD. But that’s me, I can’t speak for others. Some love super rosy tints, I hate them for example.

The more blue light, the better the output because you need less dense phosphor - at least that’s what I think to know.
For me, the perfect LED would have a CRI of 95 or higher, a DUV of 0 and a CCT of somewhere around 5500-5700K
So, I like the 519A 5700K, the B35AM 5700K and especially the GT FC40 5000K which is more in the 6000K area but with ultra low DUV

To be honest, if that’s the 6500K emitter in the beamshot above and its an unadulterated picture, then the colour rendition is very good. I don’t mind the high K in throwers, their use is distance spotting of objects. I lent a sailing friend the BLF MF04 and told him it might help him find his way into the harbours and to the moorings he was using on his trip. He came back with a grin on his face and plans to buy something similar with some flood. A lower K wouldn’t suit that situation.
Take cree xmmr for example. Same output from 5000K to 6500K. I’m picking 5000K.
