One of my favorite EDC lights is my Thrunite T1. I know not everyone likes on-board charging but I like it because when I do my extended motorcycle/camping trips, I can charge the light as I ride during the day.
A few days ago I kept getting the flashing light indicating that the light was not charging correctly. I unplugged it, tightened the head, and plugged it back it. I fear I may have messed something up because the light will not charge now. The light works fine, and I can easily charge the battery in my external chargers. I ordered another T1 that will arrive this week. Hey, now I have a backup.
My question is, are problems with the charging ports a common issue, or is it entirely dependent on how careful I am about plugging it in? Also, I don’t suppose there is a simple solution to fixing the issue is there? I cannot really return the light as it was purchase on the bay and Thrunite states they only cover lights bought through their Amazon store.
As I said, I can still use the light and it is a minor issue to charge externally, but I am just one of those folks that likes everything to work the way it is supposed to.
BTW - New T1 will be here around Wednesday.
