The Thrunite T1 Pro is the upgraded 18650 version of Thrunite’s smaller Thrunite T1. The T1 Pro features an emitter in cool white, which is rated for 1900 lumens on turbo. The beam profile is very smooth with a large hotspot thanks to the TIR lens. There is some minor tint shift and green in the beam. But overall it’s a nice beam profile for an edc light. Included in the package is a 3400 mah 18650 battery, usb c cable, spare o-rings, lanyard, and the dual direction pocket clip. I do enjoy the form factor of an 18650 compared to the smaller capacity 18350 in the original T1.
The rubber charging flap is not as secure as I would like, but it stays in place just fine. The switch is made of a transparent rubber material and has a good click feel. The switch button also acts as a battery indicator to show battery status when the light is on. Blue is fully charged and red means the battery needs to be charged. The main update of the T1 Pro besides the bigger batter is the new knurling. It feels very grippy and secure in hand. The included dual direction pocket clip attaches nicely to the tail cap of the light and provides deep carry in the pocket.
The UI is very simple as it uses a ramping user interface. A single press turns the light onto the last used mode. When on, holding down the switch will slowly ramp to a higher or lower brightness. A double click from on or off will activate the turbo mode. A triple click will activate strobe. If you hold the switch when in moonlight mode, it will activate lock out mode. You cannot cycle from moonlight mode back to the ramping modes. The high mode (infinity high) is rated for 1100 lumens for 2 minutes until it steps down to 600 lumens for another 200 minutes. Infinity low is rated at 25 lumens for 60 hours.
