TINI2!

There’s a code in the BG deals thread that takes it down to $28 or so.
Code: 1128

Probably better deals out there but I just wanted to check it out. I have the original in copper. For me this appears to be a very cool sophisticated little light.

Was just coming back to post the the extra letters.
Worked and close enough for me. I have nearly every t series light so need one for the collection.

Sorry, I posted quickly on my way out the door. Forgot the BG part.

No problem, you pointed me in the right direction and I got a price I can live with.

I’ve been carrying this light for a week and I just love it, it’s a little sophisticated light with plenty of functions

Really nice light. Works as advertised. OLED clean and functional. Nice tint is pretty clean neutral white between the cool (greenish) and warm versions of the E02 V2.

If anyone is interested in swapping emitters I just put in SST-20, the Osram pads seem to work fine. I tried LH351D in my TIP-SE and the SST in this one, no issues with pads not making contact.
The TINI2 was a harder mod, my old eyes definitely needed the magnifying lamp.
Red and Black wires connect the MCPCB to the flexible PCB, they need to be disconnected from the flex board. Use a needle point tip because they’re right next to sensitive components and they’re tiny.
There is a piece of aluminum behind the MCPCB that has some thermal paste on it, it needs to slide out first then the emitter board can tilt back and pull out.
I had to replace the tiny wires, you may have more luck.
Good idea to put it in level 2 lockout before working on it.
The optics don’t work as well with the SSTs, only noticeable while white wall hunting.

Thanks for the report.
BTW, are the LEDs in series or in parallel?

They were both oriented the same so I’d say parallel. Didn’t notice any crazy runs on the board.

Thx

Was there a problem with the OEM emitter—why did you swap it out?

i wonder how much current the BMS draws? The microcontroller may only draw 1 uA in sleep mode, but doesn’t the BMS need to always stay active in order to provide OD/LV protection?

Trying to figure out all the Ti reference—Is the case made of titanium?

I’ve been carrying this light on my keys for a couple weeks now. It’s never activated by itself. I had a problem with this on the last tini and even the TIP WITH the 2 button lockout. Excellent light. I hope it lasts a while.

Too much blue in the output for me, a part of this hobby for me is swapping in emitters that I prefer.
Sorry if I inadvertently referenced titanium, shell is aluminum.
