As an extension of the discussion about green tinted SST20 5000k lights, I ran up a side by side of a few different types. It’s not a scientific test, as the images were taken with the standard camera app on an iphone and I have no idea what automatic exposure compensation or white balance was used for each. Light spillage in a white room started to pick up as the lights got brighter, so I’m not sure if the last two frames are really useful. I’m also a little confused by the beams of the EC01 and S21a. I’d have expected the spill to be more tinted, not the other way around.
Except for the Convoy, they all run Anduril and are set to stepped ramping. They start on level 1 and go up step by step. It’s not a Max Lumen test, so I didn’t worry about getting to max/turbo. There are a few steps where the Convoy doesn’t match up, so I have it turned off.
From left to right:
- Astrolux EC01 XHP50.2 (3V) 6000k-6500k
- Lumentop FW3A XPL-HI 5000k
- Lumentop EDC18 Nichia
- Lumentop FW3A SST20 4000k
- Astrolux MF01 Mini 4000k
- Astrolux MF01 Mini 5000k
- Convoy S12a SST40 6500k
They’re not as clean as the shots I in the Green LED thread but I hope they’re still useful.
Mini 5k, Mini 4k, FW3a SST 4k
All three lights are in stepped ramping, one step up from minimum.
