Despite all of the wonderful knowledge of this forum, I have yet to find a direct comparison between the TK75s offered. I am thinking of going for the new 2015 edition. Can someone throw out a quick comparison?

I reckon there’s probably a few people interested in seeing this comparison but nobody has both lights.
i don’t have both versions, only the 2015 version ( and a Vinh modded one) in stock from what i remember a friend having the original TK75, the newer 2015 edition was brighter and has a bit more lumens output with the four XM-L2 emitters versus the older versions three.
I have the TK75 2015 model. I found an older model on sale…less lumens. When I opened the box it was a brand new 2015. Try to find one on sale. I think they make as ordered. Excellent light. Great throw and spill. The strobe is the best I have seen to date. Serious. The only comparison I have is with a nitecore TM16GT. Use the shoulder strap on the 75. The throw is farther on the GT… but I can’t decide. Both for sure are Great lights!!! Thank goodness for sales and group buys or I wouldn’t have either. I do think you will be very happy with the TK75. Try carrying both at the same time LOL

How different do the beams look between the respective models (3 x xm-l2 vs 4 x xm-l2)?

I`ll take a look at Nitecre TM 16 if i were you: it has better UI and more throw by default/ like 92k mcds for TK75 2015 and arround 120k mcds for TM16, its price is lesser too: i have both flashlights, when modded TM 16 is the better thrower
But it isn’t regulated. That kills it for me.
Regulation? What regulation? We don’t need no stinkin regulation!! 
Belive me, if you want to USE a light on the long term and not just show off you need that thing even if it costs a couple of lumens extra. Some guys find it to be more important than peak performance for 5 minutes. 
Both are great lights, BTW 
Well i use a modded TM16 quite intesively as an offhand search hunting light, not as a show off one: its only issue is that the emitters MCPCBs aint DTP ones but thats fixed allright 
The good thing about tk75 is that you can use a battery extender but it becomes quite heavy this way
All I can show you is a normal TK75 with 2900 lumens, a modded version of the same light (current boosted and dedomed) or a 2015 TK75 with 4 XHP70’s (lights up a football field!!!)
You could say I’m a bit of a fan….
