Too Good to be True? A Fake SR16?

I decided to start a thread because I tend to write a lot.

I have been following this upcoming flashlight sale on Ali Express. Started, Today at 3:00 a.m., March 16th 2026 EST. I think it Ends on March 26th 2026 at the same time.

When I got up this morning I couldn’t find it on their website. But yesterday I sent the link to myself to make it easier to find. And I found it.

From what I know the light normally goes from the mid to Upper $300’s

I haven’t pulled the Trigger. I want you guys opinion. Screenshots to come. The one I looked at the total is $223!:astonished_face:

The nearest one after that is $240 and then they go pretty much up from there.

And then these last two at $301 and $345. That’s a pretty big difference from $223 to $345.

What are your thoughts? Do You think the one I was considering for $223 is a fake? For that matter the one that’s $240 is also very cheap.

Here is the Imalent store price.

So you have 5 of the Same lights with 5 different prices ranging from $223 to $369. I’ve never seen such a difference of price for the same light.

The search has ended and a new search for another light begins. I Got a little impatient so I was going to buy it.
it wouldn’t process through PayPal it kept going around and around in circles then directs me back to AliExpress .All the lights went up to $375!

It’s possible they were that price ($223)and people just scarfed them up.

Buying from AE is like winning the lottery sometimes. They give discounts, but only under certsin circumstances or conditions thatuaually aren’t well disseminated (1st time buyer only, limited time offer, min order total, only valid for some stores). Sometimes you get a good one, but sometimes not. The rule still applies: if it looks too good to be true, it probably is

I keep getting this happen, often wonder if it’s to induce such frustration I just press Buy Now when I see the new price come up.

This and being forced into Bundle Deals when I’ve found an item I want, plus the sawn off shotgun search function has pretty much stopped me using the site.

About a half hour after it redirected me to all the high prices they sent me an email. To finish my purchase and it gave the discount price . For whatever reason PayPal wouldn’t work I tried 10 times! So I used my credit card and it worked, so it cost me $15 more instead of $223 for the PayPal discount. it was $238.

Still a hell of a bargain compared to $350 and $375. I just hope the light doesn’t have problems..

I can’t recall but it’s probably 10 years or more ago I remember one of the Imalent models kept catching on fire. I just remember being more than one.
