Torches with a red beacon light?

I’ve got one of the NiteIze tailcaps for my Mini Mag. One feature I like about it, is you can make the tailcap blink red every few seconds. I found this very handy at night, as you should you wake in the dark, you could easily locate the light without first needing anther light to find it :wink:

The only downer with the Nite Ize tailcap, is it seriously seems to affect the output of my Terralux drop in, so I don’t use it any longer.

Are there any other budget lights that have similar features? I know the Nitecore Explorer series does, but don’t really know of any others.

Not aware of any others but the Nitecore Explorers. Get one from fasttech for the lowest price and you will love it. I just got my EC1 a couple weeks ago and I absolutely love it! Worth every penny.

Have you considered a tritium vial/keyring? The green ones are very bright in the dark and don’t require any power at all.

+1 for the Nitecore EC1, I dig that there’s a solid on setting for the red led, also a battery indicator function when locked out

+1 tritium keyring vial, have one on a cheap light on my bedside cabinet. Pretty cool how it glows for months and months with no attention.
