My understanding is limited, but this is it: Termination is during the constant voltage phase. If a set voltage is being applied, it doesn’t matter how many sources it’s coming from, the voltage is still the same voltage. The battery will only draw a certain amount of current at that set voltage, so the cutoff current will be the same.

Please correct me if I’m wrong.

In HKJ’s review of the TP4056 and many other chargers, he marks the termination current with a yellow vertical line.

When the charge current goes below the termination current the charging is stopped and it will charge with around 4 uA.

He later says this about the TP4056 termination current.

This chip uses 1/10 of the charge current as termination current.

So with a 3A charge current, this implies that the termination current is 300mA, which looks high to me. If this is true, it would mean that the charger would stop charging early when the battery is drawing less than 300mA at constant voltage (CV) portion of the charging cycle. So the battery won’t reach 100% charge with this charger.
