Looking to trade my ZY-T08, its a great high power thrower with an amazingly wide useable beam and great amount of spill but the overall package is just a little to big to carry around on longer night hikes so I'm looking to trade it for an HD2010. This is a great woods light, it throws over 100k so it cuts threw the undergrowth but still lights up the entire path in front of you with its spill.
This light has 80g of copper shoved in the pill, the entire light (minus batteries) weights in at 390g and externally its exactly stock (I can engrave it with C_K and/or Killer Lumens before shipping on request). It has a 17dd FET driver with a 5-mode version of STAR Off-time with a 45sec turbo. Will run on one or two cells. The light can be switched on in turbo and left to go on its own, with the step down to high (~1300Lm) it get's hot but not to hot to hold / to hurt its self. The emitter is dedomed and centered, its NOT glued down, incase you want to harvest it for something else. The switch has been replaced with a small Omten. Overall a very reliable light, its one of the only lights I'll set out on a night hike with and not carry a spare, I trust this light 100%. Very minor chip or two, overall the exterior is on 85% condition, no real defects anywhere, just a few small spec's from use. This is a plastic reflector light, thats required for an SST-90 cause of how the emitter has + and - on top of the chip.
I truly believe with an good quality AR lens you would see an instant bump to 125K.
(Red band is there for me to identify what cells I have in what lights, not to hide anything).
I would entertain any trade offers for smaller throwers, really hoping for an HD2010 so I can put an SST-90 in it and have a similar beam as this but would also be interested in a new EE X6 or another STL-V6 (or similar) or .
LOL…seems like a lopsided trade to me but if you are good with it who am I to argue? I’ve always wanted an SST-90 light and never really use my HD2010 so it’s still cherry. Plus, if there are nicks and stuff on the ZY-T08 I can always swap out parts with the one I have already. I’ve been thinking of building an MT-G2 with my ZY-T08 and this might be close enough to allow me to put it off for a while.
