travel charger?

Any suggestions for a good travel charger? I would like to AT LEAST charge AA and AAA cells, but would be nice to handle 18650/16340/14500 lithiums as well. Ideally with options for ac/12vdc/usb and of course single channel smart charging. I have a Nitecore which is pretty close but its rather bulky for my needs. Suggestions?

A Liitokala Li-202 would be your best bet if you only need 2 cells.

If you need 4 cells, get the Li-402.

If you need faster charging per cell(1A x 4), get the Nitecore UMS4. It uses QC 2.0 for higher power, meaning you can use your phone charger to charge your cells quickly.

What chemistries? Li-ion, NiMH, LiFePO4, others?

How many bays? 1/2/4?

USB would be easiest, use separate adapters for AC-to-USB, etc.

Excellent! Just purchased as this will be a nice compact travel charger which can use regular usb adapters for wall ac or 12vdc car ports.

I have two; great for my use. And it does both NiMH and Li-ion. No polarity to worry about either. If I am traveling with a light that uses 4 cells that means I am probably in the truck so then I would carry my 4 cell Gyrfalcon.

I also want to update my old travel charger. Currently using Klarus CH1 with USB wall charger. Would get something light for 1-2 cells, 2A and USB C input/output. Not gonna buy anything with micro USB in 2019…
Unfortunately don’t know a single charger that fits the discription.

I used two Klarus K1’s as my travel chargers for quite a while. I always liked them because they can charge NiMh AA’s at 1A, AAA’s at .5A and it terminates on negative delta voltage with no trickle or top off charge. The only down side to the K1 is it’s one slot. If there was a 4 bay version I would own one for travel. I have traveled with an Opus bt-c3400. I not real happy with the way it terminates NiMh batteries but it’s small for a 4 bay charger and it can be set to the correct currents. The GyrFalcon All-44 right now is starting to float to the top of my short list for a travel charger.

Does 2 cells on any charger.
Ni-Cad. Li-ion. Li-po. up to and inc 26650.
Sits on any USB cable/Universal charger.
We use all over the world (where we go)
No Li-po.
I use either a XTAR VC2 or 4.
Pissin’ rain all day. Good for the pool hey.

I have an XTAR MC1 and a couple of freebie Sofirn chargers from their bundles, but that Olight UC looks pretty cool.

The Olight UC magnetic charger seems to be the only one I know that can charge both NiMh and Li-Ion. The Folomov A1 magnetic charger only charges Li-Ion. I think Nitecore also has a magnetic charger, but it also only charges Li-Ion.

Are there any other magnetic charger (like the Olight UC) which can charge both NiMh and Li-Ion?
