I have a few triples I wanna build using Ledil Cute-SS. I also have 10 CSLNM1.TG LEDs. Any benefit to using those or should I just stick to XPL-HI’s?
These two pictures shows the results from Skylumen. I think the throw distance tripled over the XP-L HI with the White Flat.
For comparison my stock D4S with XP-L HI v2 5D makes 3,577 lumens at turn on using Shockli 26650 fully charged. I don’t have throw numbers but the White Flat throws about 3 times as far is what I recall.
Unless you polish the CUTE optic I wouldn’t bother
The triple 1mm white flat will give more throw and a smaller spot compared to the XPL HI triple, so it’s not pointless if that’s what you want. But there is little advantage when you compare it to a single dedomed XPL in a reflector. For example, according to sky lumen a black flat C8F triple does 1900 lumens and 140 kcd. A dedomed XPL V6 in a C8 would get close to these numbers.
