I do not really care much for throw. I plan to run around 3A (1A each). I want a big useable spot for around a distance of 25-30ft or 10m.
I really like the clean look of the narrowunfrosted , but is it too tight? Suggestions please! thanks a bunch!

I use the 10511 but it is still mostly mostly flood, almost no spot.

10507 is not actually 'narrow', it's a 'spot'. No spill to speak of, but no real hotspot either. All the light is in one big circle and fairly evenly spread all over. 10511 is the most like a normal reflector beam, once you polish the front surface to get rid of the frosting. I really wish they would sell them already like that, but then they don't make their stuff with flashlights in mind.

Thanks, I’ll have to try “defrosting” mine.

Consider a narrow and a medium… they’re pretty reasonably priced, and only you can say what’s right.

I started with a narrow in my running headlamp, and it was too narrow (though not a spot, as noted), and have ended up with a medium.

I use 10507 on my triple 219b… its “narrow” but the beam is still quite flood compared to a reflector

the beam profile is all one large even spot

I used the 10507 in my Triple Nichia Convoy S2 and as others have said I wouldn’t describe it as narrow even though Carclo do. It is just a whole lot of flood compared to a reflector in the same light.
