Far as I know the last batch of anything like that was done by Bushwhacked about this time last year. Copper triple p60 shells (run 2)
I have one of those shells and its awesome. Wouldn’t mind having another. There’s was some chatter back around Christmas about getting another batch made but it hasn’t gone anywhere.
In the meantime maybe pm pflexpro and see what he has. He does some awesome p60 stuff and may have something for you.
I did actually get the drawings from Mattaus and Hoop said he could make some, but I don’t think there is enough demand to make 30-50 that would be required. They would probably sell eventually but I don’t have an extra $500 laying around right now to make this happen. Which is why I haven’t even bothered starting an interest thread at this point.
Unfortunately you’re probably right. I guess P60 just isn’t very popular right now. I think it was probably already on the decline last year when Bushwhacked did his run of them. He’s not around at the moment to confirm anything, but it looks like he made 40 last January and sold less than half that initially. He still had some months later because it was probably May when I got one from him. I PM’ed him last fall about buying another if he still had some but he never responded.
It just doesn’t make a lot of sense - it was never a good platform for LEDs to begin with and there aren’t very many host options, especially now that the Surefire bodies have been discontinued.
I think they’re cool, but they just end up being very expensive to piece together and basically a niche/custom item. I watch the forum posts and there is probably enough interest for about 4-5 of these right now :weary:
