Trustfire TR-3T6 with 4x18650's?

Anyone tried adding an extra tube to the TR-3T6 to be able to hold 4x18650’s, or would that totally fry it?

There are many 3T6 clones and clones of clones out there. Do you have photos of the driver and how the LEDs are wired?

Hmm, not yet. I just ordered one off Amazon, and went ahead and ordered an extra extension tube while I was at it. Been researching for a little while. Seems like I read somewhere that someone had combined extra tubes to fit 5 18650 batteries with success. I don’t remember where though and wanted to get some more info before actually trying it. I tried searching the threads here a read as long as I could before my eyes were unable to focus anymore, so I figured I would just ask. Best I can do for now is post the link I purchased from.

I will have to update about the driver and led’s later.

haven’t tried, i have 2 of them but wouldn’t want risking one for you
i have used 4x AA nimh in one though!

How did you managed to use 4xaa nimh???

you need to use the 3x 18650 adapter, and then you just insert the 4 AA batteries. they’re obviously thinner than 18650, so i think someone did use a homemade spacer to keep them from rattling. otherwise it worked fine!
3x 18650 is almost the same length as 4x AA (/14500)

3x 65mm = 195mm
4x 50mm = 200mm

protected 18650 are longer than 65mm, so they’re about the same length.

ok… I know I know now…

But… where can I find a 1x 18650 extension?

both of my 3t6 came with the extension, but a simple google search for tr-3t6 extension gave me a lightmalls link that might work?

wow! too sxpensive for an extension tube XP
