I am a big fan of zoomies, and high CRI LEDs. I recently picked up some copper pills for the B158B along with some unbranded B158B hosts. The LEDs I used are a Nichia 219B 4000k 92cri, and an Osram Oslon Square 4000k 93cri. Both modules use Bistro firmware on FET+1 mtn drivers.
One of the B158 pills I used is the “floody” version for the 219b LED. This pill brings the LED closer to the lens and extends the light when it is fully zoomed. This pill required a bit of manual work to get the focus just right - that is what the copper ring is for. I filed it down until the zoom was “just right”. Mike C’s design takes the B158B to its physical limits - too thick, no focus on spot; one fraction of a millimeter too thin, and the threads will disengage from the body tube to the lens tube. (The ring is friction fit at this time. It stays put but is slightly cockeyed in the photo. I may solder it in place, but I have not decided yet.)
The ‘normal’ copper pill was populated with an Osram Oslon Square LED that has a round die. I don’t see much about this LED in zoomies, but it is worth considering in my opinion.

The Osram Square led has a XP-G-size square die with two opposite ‘dents’ where the bond wires are, but the dome is narrower and a different shape from the Cree leds so the image of the led looks round when the focus is a bit above the die, but when the die is sharply focused, it is square alright (and very ugly :confounded: )
I purchased the B158Bs directly from Brinyte, the pills from kiriba-ru, the Osram LEDs from Mouser, the Nichia LEDs from illumn, and the driver (diy kits) from Mtn Electronics. I didn’t order all this stuff specifically for this purpose - it was a parts bin build.
I forgot to mention in the OP that I also changed out the switch to a Kan-28 reverse clicky from Mtn and a clear switch boot.
