UF 501B battery shaking problem

I have UF 501B, and put it on my bicycles and while I drive do not even need to be bumps on the road, it shakes and it is terribly disturbing to listen all the time.
Contact is good and lamp works well, but there is a insufficient contact on the side of battery with the tube…

So whit what I can wrap the 18650 battery that fill that little space around it what makes to shake ?
Whether it is recommended to wrap with something 18650 battery in general or not ?
I need something thinner because the space is not a big.

a couple of o-rings?

Why, duct tape of course.

I use these felt strips in a lot of my lights, combined with an extra layer or two of heat shrink you can get a really good fit. Also helps insulate the cell a little too.

I put ordinary cellophane tape around my loose batteries. One wrap at each end. Two layers or more if they’re really loose. Not inside the light, though, just on the batteries.

Or you could switch to protected 18650s…

O-ring is too thick, I need something much thinner.

Duct tape and cellophane are my favorites  because I already have that.

Only I’m afraid whether it can cause additional heating of the battery ?

Also protected cells should be the same size as unprotected cells only difference is at + ( button top ), or I’m in wrong ?

Protected can be a little thicker because of the over wrap to cover and insulate the wire strip that runs down the side of the cell.

Got a whole bunch of rubber rings
Two smaller ones stretched is what I use in all rattling lights
But it is a mix of a lot of different rings from tiny that would maybe fit 4 matches to big ones I put around a soda can light to protect it. I think most we not bought as flashlight oring but gathered over the years.

On those 501B's, the rattling is often in the drop-in, in the head - not the battery tube. You may need to tighten up the spacing between the dropin and the head tube. Just unscrew the body from the head and shake to see.

…or even another layer of wrap or two? It’s cheap, looks good, and applies easily with a hair dryer. Available in your choice of colors.

On lights that have extra space between battery and sides of flashlight tube use a short piece of drinking straw cut just a bit shorter than the battery and split lengthwise . I use it on almost every light I own because I really dislike battery rattle . 2 AA or 2 AAA lights seemto rattle more than others .
like people said Wrapping the drop -in with aluminum foil will help any of these lights.

No, I check that and problem was in the tube.
I try with protected cell, and shaking was minimum, almost totally missing, and then I put unprotected and big shaking was noticeable, so I use duct tape like someone recommend on the top of the battery 3 rounds and also at the bottom and that solve the problem, so now there is no shaking problem ! Thanks to all.

Just wrap paper around the battery
