I have an 18650 DEFT EDC Aspheric Lens light with an XP C LED I think. 2012 build.

I am looking for someone to swap it for maybe a Boost HX for extra throw and up to date LED.

I wish you good luck on the mod.

I recall the Deft lights all had Waiven collars inside.

The throw should be great with an Olson White 1 inside.

If you want to use a different emitter you might want to also consider upgrading to a FET driver for more power.
