UK retailer for Budget lights?

Following on from another thread, I want to get something cheap (probably a Uniquefire AA S1) and without having to wait for international shipping. So, I need to find a UK retailer with something like that, this is proving difficult. Most that I’m finding are going to need me to spend £20-30+ which for a glove box emergency torch is a bit much.

There are several UK suppliers of Budget lights but they sell them at premium prices………. :frowning:

Bite the bullet. Once you start buying from DealExtreme or other China suppliers you will never look back.

PS. Don’t let your wife see the Jewellery pages on DealExtreme or she’ll start buying loads from there too at ridiculously low prices….and then never complain at you light spends ever again……

Ha! She’s not too bad for jewellery, shoes are the problem!

Do they do a faster delivery option? How long does it take on average?

4 weeks but a bit longer at Christmas, New Year and Chinese New Year. Some lights are in stock in DealExtreme’s European Depot they will take less time but you’ll pay a little bit more for them. Just go the the EU Dept from here. It’s in the All Departments drop down menu.

Really?! 4 weeks?! I ordered a AA-S1 and a S10 hoping for a week or two at the most! Bugger.

Estimate a 4week wait, but you can be lucky and get as little as 10-14 days. The Gadjets are my fix, thers so many and its like buying a two for one on them.Thats what i tell myself anyway.

DON…

EU stock section seems to be out of stock of almost everything.

Let’s hope my D25A2 from Lightjunction turns up soon then!

I’d say 2-4 weeks wait for anything from China/HK.

Sadly I don’t know of any UK based retailers, but that’s true of most things in the UK. Buy it local and you’ll pay a huge premium.

Ledfiretorches have some competitive prices on premium brands (plus a discount with CPF8 code). Or failing that just ask them if they can match a price you’ve seen elsewhere.

If you want a cheap off the shelf torch in the UK you might want to consider the Tesco CREE ones. Sure they aren’t the brightest, but for easy availability they aren’t bad.

More info here: anyone got the latest tesco 2aa cree?

just got my order from thrunite 10 days to arrive
i have had a few orders over the last few weeks from HK and all have arrived in under two weeks
i have also had orders take 8-9 weeks in the past so you never know how long it will take

My DX stuff takes just under 4 weeks on average, 3 weeks would be very unusual, nothing lost yet though in 4 years and around 50-60 items.

Well, that’ll be January then I guess! Ha, I’ll have totally forgotten about it by then too.

The sad fact is there are budget flashlight retailers and UK flashlight retailers but there is no overlap on the Venn diagram. There just isn’t a big enough demand. Every time I’m tempted to buy a light from a UK source I just remind myself that I can buy the same or better light elsewhere and pay x dollars instead of x pounds.

Look what I’ve found. C8 XM-L’s in stock in the UK for £12.69p inc. delivery.. The guy has Sipik SK68 clones too for £7.57p as well.

Both delivered to your door in the UK in under a week.

Holy goollies! Wonders never cease. I am just tucking in to some humble pie.

No humble pie for you vas. You were spot on. Those prices are pretty much $ to £ conversions of what you could pay from China, just as you said. But if any UK member wants a C8 XM-L or a Sipik SK68 clone in a hurry then it may be worth that extra cost.

Clas Ohlson have this for a fiver.Ok for in the car and emergencys

Thanks, just ordered one of the SK68 clones. The C8 looks worth a punt but I want an AA light for the car.

Nice find. He may be a UK retailer, but I notice he advertised Chinese lumens

I wonder if that ebay seller has the goods in stock (as he should) or will drop ship from HK ?

Please report back when the lights arrive and let us know how it went.
