Hiya all - I’m new to the site so please accept my apologies in advance if I’m posting in the wrong location.
I’ve just bought a Ultra-Fire UF-H6 (direct from ultra-fire shop), went to use it for the first time today & have a couple of issues that I’m not sure are minor or major issues.
1/ The seal around the end cap is so loose that when you put the cap onto the body, it forces the seal out of its groove & squashes it. It’s a right fiddle to get it to stay in place.
2/ The bigger problem is the green seal around the lens - it’s come out. It was sort of poking half out, then kinda popped out when I tried to push it back in.
Does the silver retaining ring around the lens come out so that I can replace it? I’ve tried to unscrew it, but seem to be going nowhere & I don’t want to use anything metallic on it.
Or am I sending it back to Ultra-Fire?
I know this is probably cross-posting, but can I recommend Fast Tech as a reatailer? I’ve just had them ship me a Nitecore EC25, a P25, a I4 charger & four batteries. Delivered in less than a week & a third less than I’d pay in the UK
My UF-H6 is fit as a fiddle with none of the issues you are describing. I'd be inclined to guess the o-ring on the tail is the wrong size and would have guessed you bought the light second hand. The issue with the lens o-ring pushing out is a bigger issue and I would complain to Ultrafire about it especially since you bought it factory direct. I've not heard of any others having the issue yours has so yours is definitely a lemon and I'd notify them about it and see what they say before trying to fix that front seal and making things worse. Let us know how it goes.
As far as recommending Fasttech, go right ahead. We all recommend it around here. They are one of the best sellers ever. :)

Thanks for that. I bought it direct from the Ultra Fire shop, after checking with Ultra-Fire that they were a genuine retailer - so I really hope it wasn’t second-hand (although it did come without a box - I assumed that was to cut down on shipping costs). Glad to hear that it’s likely to be a one-off as it suits my needs perfectly. I work on the motorway & often need to be setting out lane closures in the dark - this fantastic as I can fix it to my jacket & carry kit at the same time, the strobe feature is excellent.
