Hi there to everyone!

I got a cheap ultrafire C8 with xml t6 led. Current draw is only about 1A on high so is very weak. So i’ve already ordered the tmart c8 xml2 u3 (hopefully with east 092).
Still i want to upgrade this one with the Cree xml2 7135x10 drop-in (http://www.kaidomain.com/product/details.S023281).
My only problem is that drop-in (like the one found in the convoy C8) is longer than mine (which measures about 12mm in lenght).
I also discovered that my C8 is shorter than most C8 around (145mm vs 150mm or more).
My issue is that i’m not sure my protected cells will fit in there after the mod.
Do you think the kd dop-in is compatible with my ultrafire? Please help me and sorry for my bad english!

8.5$ for a dropin…a convoy c8 costs 13$(with scratch and standard led) and around 17$ in perfect combination. I doubt it is worth the possible hassle. On the other side 8.5 is a nice price for xml2 and 10x 7135(if it really has 10…?)

These pills have different sizes and threads, it’s hard to tell if it fits….

If you would have a soldering iron you could mod it by yourself for cheap…
