UltraFire Sipik SK68 clone button sticking

hi guys, i bought an ultrafire sipik sk68 300 lumen light from Amazon a while back and shortly after i started using it, the on/off button started to stick sometimes when i pressed it. it goes in but doesn’t come back out. i have to fiddle with it to get it to come back out. it works fine otherwise. i was wondering if anyone else had this issue and if they did, what you did to fix it. thank you in advance for the help

Might need to disassemble and see what is causing it to stick

i am not sure how to take the switch mechanism out of the housing. is there a video on how to? i couldnt find any

No audio, and don’t speak spanish

Hope that helps

thank you

thank you WarHawk! i was wondering if anyone else had this issue and what they did to correct it?

Any sticking of the switch in a Sipik 68 type light is probably occurring inside the sealed portion of the switch mechanism. Disassembling the tailcap lets you swap the switch for a replacement. You can buy replacements at places like DealExtreme.

If you don’t have a replacement on hand, I’m not sure it’s fixable. I once tried lubricating one, but that backfired…. lubricant got into the switch and interfered with the electrical contact ruining the switch.

Maybe try lubricating the switch with something that’s thin but also hopefully doesn’t interfere with internal electrical contacts? Deoxit Gold maybe?
