I just picked up an Ultratac K18 and would like recommendations for a lithium ion battery for it. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
I use this Efest cell my 10440 lights. Not a ton of options, but this is a good one.
Thank you, yeah been looking around and not seeing much in the way of 10440’s. Not many brands seem to exist. Was not sure if i should use protected cells in the K18.

Better customer service and cheaper!
Probably get there quicker as Phoenixville, PA. is only 400 miles from Cleveland, the city of my Birth! :+1:
You can get a little charging adapter for the K18, It screws on instead of the head and has an micro-usb port.
John.
John,
Do you have link to get one?
Loads on eBay, maybe Amazon as well 5-10$

I have a couple of the Stainless Steel K18 myself, there is now a higher lux version with an steel button, instead of the rubber one.
A great price for an SS K18 if you don't mind waiting a while.
John.
Got It thanks, Hey $29.98 USD on Amazon on this side of the pond, this is the entire light with battery and USB charge module
the SS version is the older model

So anyone know if these Soshine 10440’s are any good? They claim to be protected cells and good for up to 2 Amp draw.

I would avoid So shine as they only ever give 2/3 of the stated capacity, I have seen the Effest cells recommended before and wish I could get them in the UK

Not used them myself , though
Also does the K18 work with flat top cells?
John
The problem with li-on 3.7v cells is they start off super bright and then there is a sharp drop especially on high mode as the K18 is not regulated , Check some reviews of the K18, I thought about getting some LiFePO4 cells 3.2v as the discharge curve is virtually flat till they are empty, but they are only half the capacity of 3.7v cells and you cannot use the K18 charging adaptor with them.
John
The K18 has a bottom spring but the top is just flat pcb. Not so sure a flat top could make contact.
