I left a King Kong flat top in a cyclone c88 and now the positive terminal has bent inward, and the charger terminal is not pointed enough to contact it, any suggestions on how to charge it?
I don’t have a soldering iron or solder so i can’t put a blob of solder on it
Insert a piece of metal between the contact points. Got a penny?
the charger won’t accept anything above 65mm, 66mm is stretching the plastic
Free options:
-Use some super thin aluminium foil or something between the battery and the charger.
-Open up your charger. Give the piece a that connects to the battery a proper "bonk" in the right place and it will be pointy.. :)
Alternative options:
-Buy a soldering iron, comes in handy for mods and all sorts of stuff.
-Buy a proper charger that takes up towards 71mm cells.
Foil is a good idea. Cut it from a pie tin if you want something stiffer. If the charger is so short, you might want to solder some magnetic leads onto it so you can charge any size battery you want.
pie tin sounds like a good idea, regular foil keeps falling out
Some flexible metal bits would work, try paper clips as well.
Just be careful not to short anything out. ![]()
A small spring.
By the way, those are sold in the US at Harbor Freight too (no need to wait 3 weeks for them to come from overseas).
