I bought this charger for a friend and discovered something rather peculiar (to me). At first I could only get it to work with the cable which came with it. None of my other cables worked. Then I tried a short crappy usb which came with a Chinese wireless mouse and it worked. None of my quality cables worked. This cable which worked has only two outside pins which I guess means it’s a charging only cable with no ability to transfer data. Even though the cable provided seems to have four pins.
This is rather a bummer since I now have to explain this to my friend in case he needs to change cables in the future. And he isn’t very tech savvy. This is what it does when plugged into a normal Charging/Data cable:
Just blinks.
This is working normally:
UPDATE: I have in fact tested the Liitokala cable by connecting a tablet to a PC. It does appear to be a charging only cable even though visually it has a full array of connector pins.
Also I tested the charged battery with a multimeter. It charged to 4.18v so the charger seems fine in this regard.
