In the C8F 21700, it is really hard to see a difference in brightness between the old driver and the new one, so even the old driver is not what I would call “bad”.

Sofirn, it might be best to rate the C8F 21700 lights closer to 3,000-3,200 lumen instead of 3,500. This is more realistic and people will not be disappointed if it’s less than 3500.

Thanks for the suggestion. Our way is test the max output for every C8F (21700) light by integrating sphere. I believe the second batch will be okay.

32 USD is a good price. I think the issue is that international shipping from Amazon US is either very expensive or impossible for some countries. For example, Amazon US no longer ships to Australia.

I think the problem is that he’s in Australia (Sillen) or the Czech Republic (Petr J) and he’s trying to order from Amazon USA. So obviously the shipping is going to be higher compared to him ordering it from China which has much cheaper subsidized shipping. Everyone should choose the shipping that works best for them. Don’t choose shipping that is going to be super expensive. This should be common sense.

Maybe Petr J is getting high shipping costs from Aliexpress due to him being in Czech Republic? I’m not sure.

I was under the impression the 21700 C8F’s from amazon were the units with the good drivers. I ordered one to compare to the 2 I have. Sofirn has replacment drivers on the way so I guess I need a 3rd driver. I thought the issue was fixed. Oh well, guess I will contact Sofirn if it does not reach 3000 lumen. The 2 I have didn’t even test as bright as my 18650 c8f’s.

No lumenometer, so can’t say how bright mine is, but I did notice a bit of an “upward fade” when I kicked it into turbo.

No, they all ramp up slightly on turbo.

The difference between the old driver and the new driver should just be the MOSFET. The one on the old driver has a little bit more resistance in it so it doesn’t draw as much power on Turbo. I got 2 extra amps on turbo by swapping to a better MOSFET.
