I have 2 older heavier mag charge light chargers for rx1019 lights. I have the rl1019 light as well as the rx1019 non led light. The cradle for the rx1019 doesn’t fit the led model. If i buy a cradle for the rl1019 led light, can i use the charger or converter cable from the non led and wire it to the led cradle to charge it.

I assume the rl1019 and rx1019 models have different battery chemistries.

If so, then I would not recommend to mix and match chargers or components as they are likely designed to work specifically with the intended batteries. Doing so could potentially run the risk of fire if the voltage/current settings are not matched for the specific battery type (lion/lipo/NimH/Nicad, etc).

Thanks for signing up, Rkfguard!

Both lights can use nihm batteries or nicad. Charger output on led is . 22mah. The halogen is . 30. Ao not much of a difference. Trying to see if i can splice the 2 wires coming from the 120/12vt converter from the older non led and attach it to the led cradle.
