Now that air conditioning is here, I need to find a good UV light, does anybody know of a really high output UV light for a reasonable price?
This one from T-Mart (Ships form the US)
I find these to be a little more powerful than the 3W Taiwain drop-ins from Manafont (although it’s hard to tell because they’re UV). I’ve been buying TV lights to hunt scorpions and the t-mart ones are my favorite.
I also highly recommend these to prevent the sort of arc-blindness that accompanies unprotected UV usage, and these glasses really enhance fluorescence
Thanks for the link! I have a few pair of the glasses, but need a higher power UV light then what I have. I use them to detect dye in leaking A/C systems. the one I have came from a leak detector kit I picked up, but I have to be right on the leak to see it…
Well these are as powerful as you can get before you make a major jump in price. I have a few of them and their effects are pretty additive, so order a couple of them and just duct tape them together - this is a budget flashlight forum after all.
I would be interested to see how this would compare to the cheap drop in from sunsky

I’d try the 3 watt drop-in from Manafont. It’s the brightest one that I have.
