Hi everyone, I would be interested in modifying the XLM driver for the V2 Thrunite flashlight. Is there anyone who can help me with this modification by recommending a replacement LED and compatible driver?
There are many 3v 5050 LEDs that can replace the XM-L, and many more if you replace the MCPCB too.
And if you’re replacing the driver you can have other voltage LEDs, which means even more to choose from. Too many to list.
To help narrow it down we’d need to know what you want from the new LED?
And what do you want to achieve with the driver mod/replacement?
Basically, why do you want to mod this torch?
Thanks for the prompt response, I would like to modify the torch because unfortunately the driver and the LED have burned out. I would like to have a modification with more lumens with a cold light and a duration of at least 4 hours. What do you recommend as LEDs and drivers to have these performances ?
I had thought of an SST50 LED or XHP70.3 HI third generation 45W but I don’t know which driver to mount?
