Vapcell S4 Plus Battery Removal Tool

I don’t know if anyone has fat fingers like I do, but I found it difficult to remove batteries from the Vapcell S4 Plus, especially when bay #2 or #3 were completed with batteries on either side.

I designed a simple tool in OnShape that mounts to the back of the charger which can be used to pop batteries out easily. Hope this helps someone else!

Excellent !

My removal method is to push down on the battery with a few fingers (to get enough friction) and then slide battery downwards. However, since I have a 3D printer I’ll probably try out your model. :+1:

I just bought that charger and was surprised the maker never thought about the batteries needing to be removed, it seems like adding just a 1/4 inch off vertical wing on the spring loaded holder would suffice, just something that a fingertip could hook onto to pull it back.

Nice idea, and nice execution.
For the people who don’t have access to a 3D printer: before you push the cell in the charger, place a piece of ribbon cross over the bay where you put the cell in. When you want to take out the cell, pull both ends of the ribbon. Just keep a finger on/over the cell to prevent it from being launched.
