very cheap flashlight

Hello
I decided to buy a cheap flashlight(it has to be from dx.com) but can’t decide which one to choose. I’m looking in those 1xAA ones, and I would like to have zoom and brightness adjustment.
I’m able to spend up to 10$. These here are in my price range, what would you recommend ?

I recommend avoiding promotions for overpriced SK68 clones. Nothing there worth the price asked, even if they’re giving it to you free for promoting it.

So…the sk68 is available on dx, should I understand it is a good choice ?

I have a good SK68 clone and it’s rapidly becoming my least-used light. It’s already my least-loved one because it does everything equally poorly.

Better to find a non-zoomy with different modes and a beam pattern that suits your needs. I can’t recommend any in particular, but I’m sure someone else here can.

I would stick with a Sipik brand SK68. I just don’t know if DX carries original Sipik or knockoffs. If the price is any indicator, I would say they are original.

Just read the comments of each product, it might give you a hint on quality

I’m not a fan of my SK-68. It’s one that never gets used.

This light:

…is 14 cents over your limit. It’s one of the F20-style lights. It may need some work to make it into a really nice light though. I have used a heavily-modded F20 for 2-3 years now as my EDC.

if you can spend a bit more for this XML sipik clone

> spend a bit more for this …

A US$12.45 SK68 clone? That has to be a record for price/performance

Not in a good way.

It this a good price for mini flashlights, I’m not sure; 5112 CSI LUMA50 Mini Flashlight?
