I’m Perry from Victoper, a flashlight and outdoor lighting brand. I’m posting here as a commercial seller and have reviewed the BLF Commercial Seller guidelines before posting.
We’re currently looking for a small number of U.S.-based BLF reviewers who may be interested in independently testing one of our flashlights.
We currently have two models available for consideration:
We can provide a complimentary sample for testing. There is no requirement for positive coverage — honest feedback, criticism, and real-world testing are welcome.
We’d especially like to hear from members who have previously published flashlight reviews, beamshots, runtime tests, or other detailed hands-on testing here on BLF.
If you’re interested, please reply in this thread or send me a private message. If possible, let me know which model interests you and share one of your previous BLF reviews.
Sample availability is limited, so we may only be able to select a few reviewers for this round.
Thanks for having us here, and I look forward to learning from the BLF community.
Welcome to the forums. I just looked over the website, and it seems like the Victoper VT-FLV1000 is the standard run-of-the-mill battery holder light. While I can’t say any of the offerings on the site interest me, I hope you’ll bring something innovating.
Here are a few things that come to me from a quick glance
Less gimmicky items like the light-up beanie
Decently durable lights with regulated drivers
No strobe or blinkie modes in the main mode group
No 3xAAA lights. They make me think of the bargain bin lights at the register to add on to a purchase
Figure out a design language and what you want to convey to your customers, and work on improving that. At the moment, the items listed just make me think, “this is nothing more than yet another rebranded generic flashlight company fighting for the same space in Amazon.”
Thanks, CookieDave — this is genuinely useful feedback.
I think your point about having a clearer design language and being more intentional about what the brand stands for is especially important.
Victoper has historically been focused more on practical, mass-market lighting, but we’re now trying to build a clearer product direction rather than just adding more models.
Your comments about regulated drivers, simpler mode groups, avoiding gimmicky products, and moving away from basic 3xAAA designs are all helpful points for us to take back into future product planning.
I appreciate you taking the time to give such direct feedback.
We’re currently considering reviewers for the A1200T rechargeable flashlight and the VT-FLV1000 2-pack flashlight.
If you have any previous flashlight reviews here on BLF, could you share a link to one or two of them? Also, let me know which of the two Victoper models you’d be more interested in testing.
For shipping details, please don’t post your address publicly. You can email me at perry@victoper.com once we confirm the sample.
Re: the zoomie - “Tactical” has been overused for decades as a ‘me too’ descriptor to the point it has a negative, overhyped connotation for me. I discount the product almost immediately when I see the now-meaningless word “tactical” in the ad copy, on the box, etc.
Re: headlight(s) capable of 90 degrees downward rotation - When worn as a headlight, that function is not useful to me; my eyes don’t move like that and, the headlight illuminates the bridge of my nose so brilliantly that the glare is very distracting. Not worthwhile mentioning as selling feature to me.
