My assistant could have been more helpful....
I like this dog!!!!
So do I
The assistant enjoyed herself too. But that was the last time I managed to get her to drop the one she'd chosen. I had to shake the bowl and then drop one at a time - then read it before Fizz got to it.
she looks very comfortable lying there and waiting you do the job :P
She much prefers the uncovered sofa but knows she isn't allowed on it. Not that this stops her!
She's not allowed in the living room until the curtains are closed because she sits on the sofa by the window and barks every time someone goes past. Her bark is very loud.
My tries to draw for the second and third prizes - she'd lie there drooling but couldn't be bothered turning around - I think she expected me to take the treats to her mouth.
Thats what my rabbit Yuri loved, he wanted me to hold the carrot while he sat down to eat. Life was so easy for him.
He had a massive shed, free run of the house., all the wires to chew. Food on demand - he only ate the best bits.
He was house trained, did all his business in his little tray.
I watched the video...and waited and waited and nothing ... then I swear that dog ate my number ..i mean I can't prove it unless we go out in the backyard with a flashlight and look in places no one really want to go .... It happened really really fast .
I'm somwhat focused on that pole in the backyard ....I have one too don't get me wrong ..but it's like the flashlights ...i want yours too.. so if you wake up and some lowlife has absconded with the pole ...well you get the picture ..i'll be sad with you and share your grief ..that's a heck of a nice pole ..NEED MORE PICS
Thank you for the giveaway....that was kind of you .
You really don't want to go out in my backyard without lots of light and attention to where you are putting your feet. The weather has been too vile to go out on poop patrol for weeks. Once the draws were sone she got to eat all the numbered treats. I think she OD'd on them - either that or the food dye I'd put into a pen to write on them didn't agree with her...
A lot of people round here have discovered that they aren't that easy to remove - they tend to be attached to 100kg of concrete which does make them a little harder to remove. I think even my assistant who is determined to climb into my lap just now might notice that.
Meanwhile another night of gale force winds and rain. Ever tried putting a shed roof back on when the wind is doing 30 knots and gusting to 40?
In the dark when it is raining hard?
Not a recommended pastime. Even the insurance companies will pay out for storm damage at winds speeds over 40 knots.
And definitely not a night for beamshots....
So here's the attempt at the draw for the second prize. Fizz heard someone at the door. I didn't. You'd think the treats were toxic or something.
Sounds like a blast! Excuse the lame pun. But really, there's nothing better than being inside a warm house at night with a tempestuous gale raging outside.
As for here in these parts, we had a rip-snorting thunderstorm that must have dumped 12cm of rain in 30 minutes, with so many lightning strikes so close I could swear I tasted the ozone. And around here, you can HEAR the lightning. I'm not talking about the thunder. I'm talking about the unmistakable **SNAP!** sound of the electrical discharge. Quite dramatic. Recently the storms have been arriving almost like a clockwork at 3:50 PM.
That's the problem with living on the equator I suppose. I remember the tropical storms when I lived in Africa, some nights you could almost read by the light from the lightning.
I've only once been very close to a lightning strike - it hit about 5 metres from the car I was driving. I nearly collided with a police car coming the other way. Both the police car and I had to stop for a bit till we got our hearing back.
