He’s a free agent now, finally.

If you can make a living off it, it’s a job. People have been doing marketing for centuries in corporate contexts, in that sense than a social media influencer is a “real” job if an Uber driver is compared to a legacy taxi company IMO.
High capacity battery option…prolonged use?
I want to know where chatty Cathy lifted that line from. There are a lot of lines in that “review” that tell me that the reviewer does not really understand the product. And since chatty Cathy lifted all of this from real reviewers that tells me a lot of the reviewers don’t really understand the product. And chatty Cathy doesn’t really understand anything. She just regurgitates what others have said.
“efficient driver” is also a dead giveaway.
I suspect that AI-generated text will get worse (i.e have increasing inaccuracies) as time goes on since it’ll be ingesting more and more of other AI-generated text. Similar to the telephone game, the output at the end will get worse and worse. Garbage in, garbage out.
When I hear the term “social media influencers”, I think of the word “annoying.”
Although they can make a living doing what they do, that doesn’t mean that I respect what they do for a living.
If they lose their jobs due to artificial intelligence, it would not bother me in the least.
It’s like if a Kardashian were to lose one of their highly paid “jobs.”
The solution, then, is to feed it garbage. Like, how we love “that wonderful green tint”.
Okay, I’m officially stumped. Huh?
I think the original image is from Saving Private Ryan, but I have no idea what it means.
I think you’re missing the point. That was not intended to be the best most perfect wurkkos ts10 review ever written, that was just to demonstrate the ease and speed at which a free, publically available, generalized chatbot can spit out a pretty decent first draft of a pretty convincing mostly accurate review.
Just the fact that the detail you take the most issue with is the “high capacity battery” line, which is not even false outright, its just debatable - compared to 99.9% of flashlights with an AA sized battery that is high capacity - is pretty amazing. I’ve read and you’ve read reviews written by people that had things that were completely outright false. Like saying a 1S flashlight with an emitter only available in 6V/12V has a buck driver, that’s outright false. The high capacity battery thing, that’s debatable. Compared to other flashlights that size? Debatable.
And that’s not copy pasted from one guy’s review. That’s AI going through a large and diverse data set to produce relevant text. The fact that it seems lifted from a human review, that’s the goal. That’s the point.
Now think, Al-generated reviews can tailor their content and language to the preferences and emotions of the target audience. Exploit cognitive and cultural biases to deceive, manipulate and influence consumers. It can take what it learned from a couple existing reviews and turn it into thousands of reviews from the perspectives of thousands of different reviewers from every country of every background in every language. You don’t see the potential there?
In the example, AI posted photos and text to social media but it did not create tailor made video content demonstrating a product.
I guess reviewers writing blogs and posting photos should give up and instead create videos to offer a unique and engaging perspective.
well, i see this as “proof of concept”
which will soon be a final project.
AI is coming for everything.
maybe it will not be better,
but it will be good enough
since it will be cheaper.
sort of like how margarine
substitutes for butter.
Margarine substitutes butter? Hell no to trans fat.
I don’t think I’m missing anything. When you say " first draft" you’re implying that somebody’s going to have to read this and approve it or modify it. And if that person really doesn’t understand what it is they’re reading how are they going to catch the errors?
On the battery line you left out the part about it calling it an “option”. It won’t take an aa battery so it’s not an option so there’s no debate. As I said there w, ere many problems with the wording. I suspect that some of it came from reading the description on Amazon.
Also I haven’t gone back to read it again but I don’t think there was anything bad about the light in there. If I’m reading a review from a person or ai and there is absolutely nothing bad about the product then it’s not going to “sell it” to me. And by "sell it"I mean convince me that who or whatever is writing the review has a clue. You are correct in that I believe also that it will fool some people some of the time. Everybody is just going to have to be more critical of their source(s) of information for everything. Somebody is going to have to attach a name to that review. And publish it “somewhere” that has some credibility. So there are still some obstacles that AI is going to have to overcome. Although whether it’s AI generated content or deceptive marketing generated by humans people still have to be careful about what it is they’re buying or believing. Mainstream media has taught us for many years that we can’t believe anything that anybody says at first glance.
Welllll I think you’re definitely missing something, because you didn’t notice that most of my last comment (and the one before it btw) was AI-generated.
Full disclosure, that’s not entirely word-for-word from the AI. Some lines are, but I did what I did with every paper I wrote in college, changed up just enough for the professor to not realize I copied the whole thing from Wikipedia lol
Even the ‘good’ margarine tastes disgusting to me.
It’s like saying dirt is a good substitute for brown sugar.
Does that make you a bot then?
Cyborg maybe
Funny story…
sb wanted a welcome bot for BLF, so he purchased one on the black market.
Something went terribly wrong, the welcome bot became self-aware, and “raccoon” was born!
Hmm… Are you secretly planning for world domination then?
