My two previous XHP70.x lights are nauseatingly green so imagine my shock when I got this light. It has a beautiful tint, and the hotspot actually rosy at Turbo (Duv approx -0.0010 with amateur equipment). I would recommend current Convoy’s batch of this LED extremely highly. It’s a fantastic walk light and gift light for muggles, and good enough even for not-too-nutty tint-snobs IMHO.

Premium quality throughout, fantastic Lume drive, latest Anduril, side-switch, USB-C, this light has everything that I could ask for. As if that’s not enough, it sports top notch rosy tint and a cool 9080 CRI. It is the prototype all around flashlight particularly for enthusiasts and has displaced Convoy GT-FC40 as my favorite walk light.

Summary
Host: Fossile Grey is beautiful. Build quality among best in business. I love the magnet cover for USB port & captive clip so I could set it at 11:00. Lume driver.
Beam shape: Fantastic large hotspot with soft spill typically of single TIR light, for a fun light saber effect. I dislike small hotpsot because of limited “target” illumination, not the case here. This light has the largest hotspot among all my throwers.
Beam tint: I have the FFL 5000k and its tint is beautiful, slightly rosy, not as much as the FFL351A Rosy for example. About 5000k and above LED starts to have that harsh and sterile bluish look, not this LED. Best tint among all the 5000k lights I have.
Sustained ouptut is excellent at sub Turbo level. Light feels cool at Turbo-1 level (Anduril level 6) during my 45 minute daily walk, as if it’s just cruising. I measured throw about 500 meter. A thrower with beautiful tint and fantastic host, with Lume driver? Recommended without reservation (I’m actually ordering a second X1L with FFL 4000k.).
