I'm looking for a flood -to- throw that has a 1" or 30mm body so that it can fit gun mounts. It needs to use 18650 or 3x AAA. It must have a good tail cap design. Preferably interchangeable with tail caps from the 6P/L2 or another light that remote tail switches are readily available for. LED/output doesn't matter, LEDs and drivers are cheap enough.
After playing with my lights a little dad has decided that he wants a flood -to- throw to scope mount for varmint/hog hunting. He likes the amount of light and range that my Solarforce L2 lights put out, but they have too much reflection off dense underbrush. He prefers how the focusable light on throw cuts right through it, yet when on flood still puts out fairly well. If I can find a good candidate I intend to install de-domed XM-L2 led and NANJG 105C driver programmed to his liking.
