Just saw the d4sv2 annd noticed it has 2 modes, throw and spot and I love that idea. I just need it to have usb c charging and a longer tube for 26800 cells. Any options yet?
Lumintop Thor pro but it’s 4x18650. Ooo and Wurkkos Ts32! Olight marauder.
If you can get past the usb-c charging, the D4SV2 is a fantastic light and really sings with the 26800 cells. I didn’t get the dual channel, but everyone seems to love that option in that model and his others. The charging for 26800 does present a challenge if you don’t have a light than can do it for you….the new charger from Xtar is very basic, but it’s cheap and compact if you need to tote it with you.
I don’t know how much 26800 will gain traction. It’s great but some people were poo-poo’ing it this year during the brief supply issues, calling it instead a very hard cell to source. I think that may be solved, and it could probably improve if people and manufacturers embrace it (same thing happens every time a new cell platform is around). If more makers decide to use it then surely we’ll see them with usb-c onboard. Dual channel takes some dedication by the company and their driver engineers, though, and adds cost…not sure how many established budget brands or larger mainstream ones will really embrace that or stick with it. Seems like Hank is aligned with most enthusiasts and doesn’t really want to do onboard charging for various sound reasons, but if people clamor for it enough I bet he’ll give in.
K 9.3 but I don’t think it’s possible to use 26mm batteries with it
