Ok so lets start. I have a budget of about 50 AUS Dollars. I have little solder experience.I wanna if possible stick with ebay ( please dont ask why ).

You can’t find the needed parts for a decent DIY thrower on eBay… Are you ok buying from chinese websites?
you could look at the LCK LED shop, they are a reliable ebay seller. bought several emitters sinkpads there and they are quick shippers/have good product.
Alternatively look at LED DNA on ebay. also reliable and quick.
Have only Courui D01 as an thrower.
Torch is about 30$ at GB.
A bit of manual work is required if you wanna receive more than just stock flashlight:
- dedome LED (XML2)
- set thick wires, bypass springs, bridge resistance in driver to gain more output.
- buy noctigon/sinkpad and reflow led
What size light did you have in mind and what batteries do you have a preference for?
May be Convoy L2 XP-L HI V2-1A ?
an “802” light makes a decent thrower… standard driver and emitter replacement…. thats if you have your heart set on a reflector light….
or, you could just go the “zoomie” route… and so the standard emitter and driver replacement… thats a popular option…

If you take the modded all you need it a emitter (easy to solder a led on star in light, even i can and have done it ;)) and can always do driver change too the copper will help dissipate any heat
The stock throws like crazy as is.
I want half of what I paid for the two bit I have to check how much I paid with shipping.
You can choose the one you want I don’t mind which goes have some XPL LEDs in transit so can finish the modded one as well, I just want one of these legendary lights in collection 
Look into the group buy for the commeta torch that is a massive thrower and is around that price point mate…

Okay buy a convoy C8 and buy the blf direct driver from banggood and get a XPL-HI should cost around $35 aussie dollars I got my LED and C8 from fasttech but I am going to put and order in at cutter electronics they are a shop in Melbourne for Mt next leds. only other thing you may need is a XPLHI cente ring for the reflector but I am using the stock one still. You can get that for like $1 from the convoy shop on aliexpress you can also buy the C8 from there.

Wow I paid like $8 from fasttech for the for XPLHI LED on a copper board.I only found this shop after googling but apparently heaps of people on here buy from there but you have to pay shipping.
