I, for one, am glad my CPFItalia Cometa will be engraved with the brand name. When someone else inherits the light, I want them to be able to look it up on the Internet, and learn about its proper care and feeding.
I also understand those who would like a bare, unbranded flashlight. That might be because they don’t like to be a walking billboard. It might also be because they are hoping to resell the Cometa under a different brand. I’m fine with either.
There was certainly no harm done in asking about the possibility.
