Hello All,
excuse my stupidity, something surprisingly simple is making me confused.
I had a fair few cheap but decent strawhat leds around and decided to try this out.
Im running 4 Led’s in series. Each taking in 3 volts. Using all 12v being supplied by battery without any resistors.*Im not sure its a good idea due to not being able to limit the current but so far its been good and I have tested it for weeks without ever turning it off. Even while charging the battery at 14v)
I made a circuit with 20 of those ‘4 leds in series’ in parallel
I have calculated that per ‘line’ of 4 leds Im using 0.96 watts as its a 12v system using 80milliamps (20 milliamps each led x4)
So overall I am using 19.2 watts. is this correct?
Not sure if I will be able to attach some photos but I will try…
This is just the led and battery. Very bright as you can see.

This is the whole kitchen so you can have an idea…

and probably the most important picture to show how its wired up… a close up (not very straight as you can see) haha

any help would be appreciated.
Thinking of making some longer ones(same style circuit) but longer to go in my garage as some Florescent tubes are starting to go. This one is 66cm longer. I could make it 1, 2, or even 5m longer without a problem I think.
More photos can be taken if needed so you guys can understand how it works.
Thanks.
G.
Pretty tint, nice work
