I was just wondering if there is a DIY alternative to the Wavien RLT™ Collar that reflects otherwise wasted light back into the LED in aspheric throwers?

Since a reflector is not perfectly spherical, so I don’t think I can simply cut it down and put it over the LED.
Maybe some christmas ball decorations?
I simply can’t justify paying $49-69 for these. :~
Love to play with one, but the $ for essentially a spherical reflector is too much imho.
When the Trustfire/Superfire/Ultrafire/Sphincterfire version comes out for $1.99, I’ll grab a couple and have some fun.
Clever idea with the Christmas ball. Something round and shinny cut in half and then topped off. That sounds perfect. The search is on. Thank you ryansoh3!
Once we find something viable, we can use a small laser pointer to verify the beam is redirected back to the LED.
Chrome-paint the dome, then slice off the front?
Reflectors from Mag C/D incans work well.
Would a highly polished bead cap like this one work? One could enlarge the hole by drilling it larger.
