Sarah Simmons on this season of the Voice is something extra special. This girl may be one of the next big hits. I know so many of these singers go off of these shows like the Voice, American Idol, and X-Factor, never to really be heard from much again and never really do anything. But I do think this gal may be an exception.

Besides Adele being an exceptional singer she´s got quite some recognition value.

Trust me she will win the Voice. Nobody will stop her. I’m predicting it now.
Don’t count on it. This is a popularity contest, not a singing one. Last year the Amanda Brown’s voice was in a different league than the rest of the competitors and she went home real early.
I did very much like her rendition of this song. I just hope she isn’t a “one hit wonder”. I can’t count the times these contestants have a tryout that blows you away and then the rest of the show they are mediocre at best. We’ll see.
I’ll have to disagree with you on Amanda Brown. She was good, but Cassadee Pope kicked her butt as well as the rest.
While it seems we have similar taste in Sarah, we obviously have immensely different taste about Cassadee! :bigsmile:
Everyone’s taste in music is very different, but I was extremely underwhelmed by Pope. Not one single performance excited me.
Oh well, we can agree that we both like flashlights!

Maybe I have Adele on a bit of a pedestal, but I think comparing any of these silly tv show contestants to her is borderline insulting.
Adele made it on her own, the real way. No BS tv popularity contest. Purely on talent. You could go a step further and argue (very strongly) that she is not the typical look for pop music… so her talent matters all that much more!
Adele also writes her own material, which is a whole other type of artistry. She is on another level.

I personally didn’t think she’d make it, but like the man says…it’s now a popularity contest with call in voters playing judges. I think they could let the call in vote count as a 5th judge and let the real judges balance it out, but they don’t ask me so…
I am not a huge music buff, but even at that I heard Sarah drop notes and sing flat notes every time she sang. As compared to Amber Carrington and Danielle Bradbury, they have had some awesome performances. Holly Tucker is from just down the road, but I think it’s a run between Amber and Danielle personally, with Danielle edging her out. But that’s just me and the wife’s opinion and worth the letters on this page…
I think Danielle will win it. Michelle will get 2nd and Sasha or Amber will get 3rd.

I love the fact that Danielle and Michelle knocked out Judith and Sarah. At first I admit I was picking Sarah, but the more I listened to Danielle the more I knew she was going to win it. She’s the next Carrie Underwood or Taylor Swift. I heard there were already like 5 record companies that want her right now with all her itunes success. She is topping the itune sells vs any other singer ever on any of these shows. She will win the Voice. No doubt in my mind.
At first, it was “for a 16 year old” but she’s proven she’s cool as any Pro and keeps that bright eyed smile going no matter what. She’s GOOD! For any age.
Edit: It would help immensely if they’d get their sound mixing up to par. They’re killin me! Can the band and go acapela the rest of the way, that’d certainly tell us something!

I haven’t been on in a while. It looks like you jumped ship to Danielle. Danielle can sing, but the show was very disappointing this season. Oh well, it will be back on shortly with another batch.
BTW, not surprisingly, I absolutely hated Cassidy’s new song……no surprise there.
