well, had to use up gearbest points, eh? 2 toys incoming...

first i bought a too-cheap headlight, that craps out… so, i bought a headlight i actually LIKE… but… it doesnt take a 18650, so… i wanted a decebt budget headlight that i might LOVE, so… i got this, as it was recommended as “best budget headlight” in another post…

i LIKED the idea of a 18650 recommended-on-here budget headlight… and i LOVED the idea of it will recharge with usb, so… this should be pretty cool.

and then? i used up MOST of my points on that, but, i had a few left and dont want to lose them, so… what to GET? (i didnt need anything, but… lol) what can i possibly want to play with? well… all the talk about the SCAM 700 LIGHT?? made me want a 878… basically just a small 26650 zoomie to me. I like (love) small zoomies… and having one that does 26650 for long runtimes on low? was appealing… so…

i figure p!$$ on the batteries, but, the flash sale made it basically a free cheap charger with about the normal price of the light anyways, so… what the heck

the flash prices were awesome, and, i’m glad i saw a thread on how my points we JUST about to expire? so… the flash price on the headlight and the recommendation on here cinched the purchases.

figure at most i will have to add some metal to the probabbly hollow pill of the 878… and probably update the emitter and driver to something “mountain electronics” even later on. it using a 26650 gives me options there, lol. I figure a HIGH high, and a fairly LOW but useable LO mode… for brightness and long runtimes for the big 26650 power giver, heh heh.

this should “take the edge off” till i get something cool… i almost added a cheapie c8? but figured why go nuts. figured i can always get a good budget c8 host from mountain later on and know i will love it.

I ordered this Small charger for using my points, I only had a dollar or so.

That W-878 has a latticebright led, not a real Cree led. If the one I received is representative of their build quality i would not recommend you to buy that light. if you can change your order, for $12 more you can get the brinyte B158 (or the Convoy BD04 at $20 if you want a smaller flashlight) before the stock ends.

ggf31416…

i already knew it was a latticebright. I kinda just wanted the “shadowhawk x700” light, lmFao… so i could show people the “250 dollar military flashlight, on sale for ONLY 80 dollars”, hee hee.

plus, like i said, its cheap… i get a free cheap charger and 2 throwaway batteries. i have several little no-name zoomies, this will be just one more “small beater zoomie” that just happens to run on 26650… which will be cool for extended run times on LO mode.

by the time i take off a few bucks for the 2 bay charger, this is like a 5 dollar “toy light”… i didnt really want a 22 or 24 dollar light, i just wanted something cheap to play with.

shrugs

just looking to spend JUST enough money to use up all my points that were going to expire. I already know i will probably like the budget headlight? so… this is just a little toy to fiddle with.
