Since I sold off some of my lights, I figured I would treat myself to what will be my last flashlight purchase for no telling how long. I bought a Vinhnguyen54 modded TN31 6.5 amp copper heatsink XM-L2 dedomed flashlight. I’m basically getting back one of the TN31’s I sold him. He cut me a good deal. He told me the other one I sold him in the case he modded to 480K. So that says a lot right there on how far this thing should throw. I should get it tomorrow. I thought I would let you guys know.
my last flashlight purchase for no telling how long
 Uh huh.
I’ve said the same thing to my wife.
s. The cold sweats and nausea are the worst, the trembling hands and sleep disturbances are tolerable. Then, when you think you’ve got it licked, you read about that new XP-G3.
I’m sure you still have many more decent collection of flashlights than majority of members here without need to buying another one.
You’re alright, but to say it cured, hmm… most people will be good with 1 or 2 flashlights, and that’s not special modded one
Just glad you’re doing regular posting again
Well I just posted this to let you guys know. I told johnnymac in a pm that I bought my last one for a good while. I figured I would go out with a bang. But I just considered this a courtesy post to let you guys know I am done.
See you in a few years when XML3 becomes available, because with the way flashlights are progressing now there’s no doubt in another year or two we’ll have some absolute killer lights.
Sorry to see you go, Brad. You're a good guy! Keep in touch if you really do stay away from the forums. If you are determined to stay off the flashlight wagon then you should definitely stay away from this place. ;)
Be sure to post those beam shots of the new light. I'd love to see what 480kcd looks like against that white barn. As for the "one last light" I don't blame you one little bit. After getting rid of most of your fine collection you deserve one last good purchase! I can't tell you how many times I've looked at my lights and the time spent on them and thought to myself, "what the hell am I doing? What a waste of time and money!". Then I remember how much I enjoy it and how it's really not as much money as it looks. Not too many people find a hobby they truly enjoy. Many find hobbies to pass the time but how many truly enjoy them? Not as many as folks would think.
God bless you on your new journey! Come back every once in a while to say "Hey" and let us know how you are doing and what you are into. Would it be a fair guess to say you are getting back into gun collecting?
There's very few of us that will stay around long term. It's one of those hobbys that just gets old. Fast for some, longer for others, but we all come and go. The nice thing is, there's always someone else to replace us when we go. Just like in life.
That's a great last flashlight to go out of the hobby with.Brad,I wish you luck in life and want to say thanks for the awesome beamshots of various lights you did here.Maybe soon you'll fall off the wagon and visit us again.Good knowing you buddy.
