I spoke with Mark on the phone just a few minutes ago before placing an order with him. Super nice guy by the way, and from what others have said about his great customer service here, and the great prices he has going on Crelant lights, I just had to place my first order with him.
I ordered on a saturday morning , mark shipped the same day and my light was waiting for me when I got home Tuesday. He was also more helpful with my questions than anyone else I’ve purchased from (which must be a PITA 0:) )
I hear ya. We talked for a good while. And he answered all my questions, too. I told Mark I wanted another great seller to buy from here in the US. And after talking with Mark, I think he will definately be getting more of my business. He is very prompt. I like that.
Are you asking me straight up with no collimator head?
If so, it won’t even be close. The TN31 will easily win.
Now with the collimator head on the 7G5CS I don’t know. But I can tell you that I doubt it even then. The lux advantage may go in favor of the Crelant 7G5CS with collimator head. But I can tell you the same may be true on the Crelant 7G5V2 I have with collimator head, but it won’t out throw the TN31 from what my camera is saying. But I will say the Crelant 7G5V2 with collimator head is one cool looking light.
sure is. I love mine, and haven’t gotten to use it in the boat yet, which will be the primary purpose.
Out there, the zero spill beam is crucial to avoid blinding back scatter…
Of interest to ashperical fans, I emailed crelant and asked for a BIGGER ashperical head and they said many others have also asked and it is probably gonna happen
You won’t reget buying it. I’d go for it. They are very nice lights. And with the colimator head it looks ever so cool.
Up close on a wall and Rick will vouch for me here - but you can put the beam from the Crelant 7G5V2 with collimator head over the brightest TN31 out there that is stock from the factory and the Crelant will whip it. But at 445 yds the opposite is true. Why that is, I don’t know. But it’s what I see and my camera sees as well.
