I like the beam from the Crelant 7G5V2 with collimator head so much more than I did with my Dereelight.
And Rick showed me that either Dereelight that he had would shine easily brighter on top of the Crelant 7G5V2 collimator head beam. Just so you know. But the Crelant beam is quite a bit bigger and more useful of a beam. The Dereelight was too pencil of a beam for me. And now Rick has it.
And to be fair to the YEZL, I may have not had the beam focused to the brightest hotspot in the picture above. But I will take another one tonite and post it here so we can see. I can tell you at 445yds I honestly believe the YEZL HID will beat the TN31.
PM sent, Santa!! A very much surprise gift and one that will be returned with a little handcrafted goodness one day in the near future. Not by Christmas, I’m afraid as I am already behind on stuff but soon, my very generous friend!
I got a crelant 7g6cs that should be on its way from the cpfmp crelant giveaway. Now you got me tempted to get the latest 7g5cs from mdlightsource. Those collameter head shots make it a versatile tool for work not that I need it but dang it’s cool looking
If I can get it to show up, I’ll post the Crelant 7G5V2 collimator head on top of my brightest TN31 beam that I just got yesterday from Ma_Sha1 on here that measured 115,00 lux on his light meter. I’ll show you what I mean about how you can’t even see the TN31 beam.
The coupon code didn’t work, but I put my BLF and CPF handle in the notes. Looks like I may get free shipping which is plenty discount for me. I’ll pm him and see if everything’s ok
Now I had to slow the shutter speed way down to capture this for you guys, but you should get the picture. I’ll have to post the camera specs in a bit after I check to see what they actually were.
Here’s the camera info like promised.
Manual exposure, 1/776 sec, f/3.2, ISO 400

Now here’s the ThruNite TN31 and the Crelant 7G5V2 collimator head beam on top of it.
