Weltool ,Ever-Victorious T9 green hunting torch.

This is a quick look at the Weltool green led hunting light,
My apologies for the lack of decent beam shots as I’ve only got an iPhone to take photos & it’s not good in low light conditions.
This is the little beast,

it comes in a nice box with foam padding ,you get spare o rings ,manual& warranty card

It has a nice deep smooth reflector

It has a nice rear clicky which feels solid ,it needs a good firm press to activate & it will work in momentary by just half pressing it

The threads are very smooth & well lubed

It has nice solid springs at both ends, it will take all protected & unprotected battery’s

The tint is very green ha ha , it’s got a nice tight hotspot with a corona & nice wide spill
I can’t do the beam justice with my iPhone camera ,taking photos in the dark is a no go with the iPhone so I had to take em in daylight & turn the brightnes down to get good results ,so here’s a few shots

I blew some smoke to try & capture the beam,it didn’t work to well but here it is

Here’s so me proper shots of it taken from weltools website , this is what you actually see but I just can’t recreate that with my phone

If you’re into hunting & need a green torch then I can highly recommend it , this torch feels & looks very high quality & it feels like it will stand up to a lot of abuse ,it’s waterproof & shock resistant , it’s simple to use just click on & click off or half press for momentary light, it has no strobes ( good ;-).)
It’s only 139 lumens so I wasn’t expecting much but when I first switched it on it blew me away with how bright it is ,it’s a proper green at 522 nano metres & it outshines my Fenix pd35 tac with a green filter on 1000 lumens , I set my emisar D1 on the highest fully regulated mode about 145ish lumens & it blows it away , I think the reason it’s so bright but only 139 lumens is because the human eye is very sensitive to green ,the Weltools rated throw is 216 meters throw , it easily lit up a tree at 100 meters ,
this is my first ever review of a flashlight , hope you found it useful.

Thanks for the review, this looks well-made and well-focussed. I like the plain styling. It seems rather expensive though for what you get (over 50 dollar), but it may be built extremely tough?

(btw, the lumen unit is already corrected for the human eye sensitivity, so it should not matter what colour you look at, the same amount of lumen should appear the same brightness)

I’m not sure what you mean about the lumen unit, but compared to the D1 at 145 lumens the T9 outshines it by a considerable margin.

I’m pleased you like it ,I’m very impressed with the sleek looks & build quality , I’m keen on trying thier W3 ( the laser type flashlight ) I’ve been looking for a pencil Beam thrower.

He is saying that a lumen is a measure of how bright something appears to the human eye, regardless of color. 100 lumens in blue is as bright as 100 lumens in green, as 100 lm in red. All of those appear to be equally bright.

As to why the two flashlights don’t match up to their rating, well welcom to lights. Some measure the output of the led itself, others measure what makes it out the front of the light.

Nice light BTW. I just put together a green Aspheric and it certainly is fun to mess with.

It was shown in Shot Show, can’t be sure when it will be released, though!!

Thanks for the link ,I did watch it ,it looks interesting but it’s got no spill but it would be OK if you need a narrow beam.

Is this PC green or normal green?
Osram white flat green PC is very powerful compared to older green emitters

PC is photon conversion its a green phosphor pumped with a blue LED

522nm is normal single wavelengh LED which is better for lenses but in reflector a PC will be better
