What 2 x 18650 to get?

Hello all, I’ve been lurking around here for a couple months or so. Awesome community you have going on. : )

I have a question. I have a collection of about half a dozen lights, mostly single 18650’s (UltraFire 502b & 501b’s, C2’s and a XinTD C8). I am now looking to get a 2 x 18650 light and am not sure I have exhausted all of my possibilities.

I am looking for something in the 700-1000lm range, under $55, waterproof, 3 mode (low-med-high), would like low battery indication and memory mode if possible. Would like light to be black and have good anodizing.

I am very interested in the New Version of the Shadow TC6 that intl-outdoor.com has, it doesn’t have memory mode which looks like the only down side.

Anyone else have any other possibilities? I have looked at some of the 2 x UltraFire’s but they don’t seem to have as good a value as the Shadow nor would the quality be as good I’d think.

Also, the vast majority of my batteries are Sanyo unprotected 18650’s varying from 2200mAh to 2800mAh, would they be suitable for this light?

That's a tough question. I agree that Shadow TC6 would be nice (but lacks memory). Or maybe Fandyfire STL-V6 (but has blinky modes). Or some nice solarforce host with some high voltage dropin from D.I.C.K. (E1320)?

And I wouldn't use unprotected (& unpaired) cells in any multi-cell light for security reasons. Just buy a pair of known good cells (XTAR 18700 2600mAh or similar) and be safe.
