What are you listening right now ?

You have no idea how many times I tried typing “UPLOAD VIRUS NOW” and nothing happened.

Or how a MAC-10 was emptied after a ¾ sec burp, and didn’t keep firing for 30sec straight.

I am so chagrinned…

“show me ur organs”??

Ew.

Reminds me of that time I went out with friends and woke up the next day in a bathtub filled with ice.

The Allman Brothers Band – "Whipping Post" (live, 1970)

Duane in the house, Fillmore East, pro-shot video, excellent sound quality... There's a lot to like in this seminal recording of the Allman Brothers Band.

The music is so fluid and natural, you may not notice the 11:8 time signature. (Count: ONE-two-three, ONE-two-three, ONE-two-three, ONE-two.)

Recommended.

Allman Brothers :+1:
I saw them live a bunch of times. In a little place called The Warehouse in New Orleans. In fact I worked sound for them several times. When Dicky Betts and Duane Allman were jamming it was just spectacular to hear. Such a shame that Duane killed himself on his bike at such a young age.

I think I have every Album they made. Still listen to their music regularly. Good stuff!

First time I heard the Allmans was when they played closing night of Fillmore East, on June 27, 1971. The show was broadcast on FM radio, and I tuned in somewhere in the middle. I didn’t know who I was listening too, but I was so blown away that I stayed up until after 1:30 a.m. west-coast time (might have been much later!)—listening all the way to the end—just so I could learn who the eff this was. Had school the next day, too, but I didn’t care.

Within the week, I had purchased At Fillmore East, hot off the presses.

Yeah they used to play for 3 to 4 hours in concert… I think depending on how wasted they got… :smiling_imp:

Was thinking that’d make great “collage” music. :joy:

You know, the misfit volleyball team, ski team, karate kid, marathon runner, etc., are all ruthlessly mocked by Annoying Spoiled Rich Opponent(s) with all the professional gear, trainers, resources, etc., so The Misfit(s) get goaded into hardcore training for The Big Tournament, only to pull off some miraculous win and rub Annoying Spoiled Rich Opponent(s) faces in it.

And there’s the obligatory collage of different clips of all that hardcore training, with the setbacks and victories and endless struggles along the way, with the jaunty '80s electronic music playing in the background.

Wouldn’t that be perfect for it?

I’ve been listening to Geddy Lee’s autobiography lately. Rush is one of my favorite bands and this is my favorite song by them.
